It's location, great atmosphere, nice people and I love the building. Free walking tours!
The staff was amazing ! This was my first time staying at a hostel and traveling alone and I had an amazing experience ! I DEFINITELY, highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to save money and get an authentic feel of the city of Chicago! I felt comfortable, safe, met some really amazing people and the facility was clean ! 5 stars
breakfast is good, better some days than others, but for the price is an excellent choice and a great deal! There´s coffee 24hs so that´s a relly good plus. Very secure and good place and location, also the living, bathrooms y shared room are great and clean. I will come back. HI is the best choice for USA.
I will definitely stay there again. The location was the best possible. Shower was not in the room but still clean and just for the few rooms. The atmosphere was amazing, i saw many young respectable people in the hall. Overall impression that the hostel is much better than many ***/**** hotels
Most comfortable mattresses ever. I always get such a good sleep here! Always clean, organized and well run!
The rooms were larger than I was expecting and the location is great. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was nice and you can watch the the L trains go by.
They had bedlight, which was really convinient. And in the bath booth, they had shampoo and soap all-in-one jell. They were also good.
FUN ACTIVITIES PLANNED ON FRIDAY,VERY HELPFUL STAFF

Very good hostel, clean, big, lot of stuff to do. I went for the bar crawl organized on Saturday night and it was awesome !! The breakfast is really good too

Did not have time for breakfast because we had to attend family funeral
Staff was friendly. Location was great! Beds were comfy. Didn't have a room ready so upgraded us and gave us free breakfast!
Everyone was so nice, it was clean and the location perfect. You could walk every where, which we did except to Shedd Aquarium. It was amazing.
There was an amazing employee named Reggie that delighted our grandchildren and warmed our hearts
The staff was friendly. Our room was nice and clean. We got fresh baked cookies and hot cider every evening in the lobby, which was a nice extra treat. Location was awesome. We walked most places we wanted to be. Train access right outside the hotel as well!
Loved everything the bed the variety of channels on TV the view from the room everything was great Location to shopping and restaurants was nice and shake shack around the corner is amazzzzzing!!!!!
Absolute perfect location and the attached parking garage was so nice!
Beds comfortable and rooms clean. Nice bar and restaurant. Comfortable lobby
The bed was perfect. Not too soft not too firm. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Bathroom was extremely clean and was given fresh towels daily even though the pamphlet said to hang up towels you want to keep and put the ones you are done with on the floor. Very eco friendly hotel. When I got to the room small problem with one of the bed side lamps not working but I called the front desk and it was fixed within an hour. The gym was great, really enjoyed the free weight rack and the space for movement. I do wish I was up a bit higher so I could have had a better view of the city but the 19th floor isn't bad.

I liked everything about this hotel. Definitely going back
The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We were able to request a room with a fridge and a microwave which was nice. Housekeeping did a great job having our room freshened up each day while we were out. It was so nice coming back to a clean room after our outings.
Hotel has a great vibe and decor. Our room was huge and bathroom was quite big too. It's located a block or so from Michigan Ave which is the main strip with all the shopping. The Navy Pier is in walking distance and the contemporary art and the John Hancock building. I would happily stay there again.
Excellent location. Love this hotel can't wait to go back.
The chef does amazing things both with eggs and the food in the rooftop bar! Wish the bar was open more. All staff are very personable! Love the computer bar in the lobby window and the fireplace. Feel very at home here.
Suites are huge the bathroom's are amazing perfect location and the staff is always excellent.
The staff was super helpful and accommodating. They were even able to offer early in and late check out for us. We enjoyed the location and was easily able to get around to many local attractions. The shopping and dining options near the hotel was excellent. I will stay at Mile North again when returning to Chicago. Ask for Sam the doorman. Sam has great suggestions about the area and is so welcoming.
The Lobby is very welcoming and vibrant, you cannot beat the location of this hotel. pet friendly rooms and staff made this trip into an amazing stay.

Staff was extremely helpful for a short-notice reservation and helped to fix a mistake I made in my reservation. I was incredibly grateful for their help and responsiveness and assistance. All staff I interacted with were incredibly professional, responsive, engaged, and made our stay smooth and comfortable. I would love to stay here again the next time I'm in Chicago.
The location was perfect!! The decor, comfort, cleanliness can't be beat for the price. I have stayed at several locations, and this is by far my favorite hotel. I had a lake view and it was beautiful. .
The rooms were very nice, especially the end suites! The restaurant attached, Southern Cut, was great!
Having a two room suite is awesome! We had so much more room to spread out. The Southern Cut barbecue restaurant located in the hotel was AMAZING!!
The bed felt amazing! It felt better than a cloud and I've never been on one ... Lol
We weren't offered breakfast as part of our package, but their as so many restaurants within walking distance.
Very clean polite and helpful staff, valet service was great
Helpful and friendly staff gave me good tips concerning where to have some great food for a reasonable price.
The bed was way too soft, but for one night it was fine! Overall, the room was fun, functional and roomy. The amenities were complete and the bathroom layout and function was unique and nice.

Staff were obliging and friendly. Guest lounge was available even after check out.
Centrally located and close to the train station staff very helpful
Very close to L station and walking distance to Union Station. Friendly staff, free filtered water bottling station and 1200 checkout time.
Excellent service and great support from staff and supervisor
I absolutely loved this hotel! The location was great. We walked all over the city and walked back to the hotel. Our room was small but perfect. It was very nice to be able to fill water bottles with fresh cooled water on our floor. The number one thing that I loved the most was having to put our room card in the elevator slot to be able to go up to our room. To know that not anyone can just go up and roam the halls made me feel the utmost safe and protected. Thank you for having that safety feature! We will definitely book a room again!
Everything was Great ! The rooms looked super small on the online pictures but they were excellent! They had a little coffee maker and also a MP3 speaker to plug your phone to , everything super clean , & nice staff as well !

$92 - $426
My whole family loved this place. There were 8 of us in three rooms. Two studios with queen and one two bed. The location and convenience was great. Nice to have the convenience of a kitchen. Didn't cook, but used the refrigerator for leftovers and drinks and snacks. It is an older building, but not dated. This hotel will be my recommendation for anyone visiting Chicago and for us if we return to Chicago. Also, like all hotels the internet worked slower at times and faster at other times.
I love the comfortable beds. Also, staying at Hotel Dewitt is like being in my old studio. Only my studio was much smaller. It feels like home.
Perfect location for first-time visitor right between the lakefront & magic mile. Even the studio apartments are generously proportioned & having a full kitchen is a bonus.
Cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff - Genesis is a stand out.
The location was great, the rooms are very nice, and the staff is the best. We stayed here in November and will definitely stay again. We have recommended Dewitt to others as well.
I've stayed at this property numerous times and I love the feel of the beds. I can't explain why, but they're perfect for me. Also, the staff is really friendly and accommodating. The location is excellent.
The staff was very friendly and the hotel in the perfect location. Definitely worth the money.
You Can Walk To Everything And Lake Shore Drive Is Pretty
There was a store across the street. With a stocked kitchen of utensils, we saved money by cooking instead of eating out.
I just love the whole set up. The kitchen was a A+.....

Beautiful neighborhood and Location. Convenient to get to. Clean place. Loved my stay. No hassel
Chicago Getaway Hostel was exactly what I needed during my time in Chicago!
I wish we'd gotten to stay longer, it seemed really fun but we got in so late that we just went to bed immediately and left the next morning. It was clean and comfortable and a great price
The staff is very accommodating. Hostel is in a great location.
One of the best hostel i've been!! Colazione inclusa, ottimo qualità/prezzo, parcheggio gratis in zona
Everything!!!!! The location was perfect!!! Lincoln Park is a gorgeous neighborhood. Everything you needed or wanted was within walking distance! Only downside was finding parking. Parking is $28 a day. But overall great Hostel and will be back again!!!!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location if up for a long walk to downtown
The staff provided us many information about the attractions, which were very good and fun. The breakfast was excellent.
The staffs are very friendly and eager to help you know and get around the area. And this can simply be one of the best location in Chicago, very quiet and safe to walk around at night.
|Chicago South Loop Hotel|
Just 3 minutes’ drive from McCormick Place Convention Center, this boutique hotel is located in Chicago’s South Loop and offers free parking and free WiFi. Average score from 28 guest reviews: 7.9/10.
The roominess of The room. And the kindness of the staff..I had a personal problem but the help fix is quickly.
Very convenient: only take 10 min to walk to nearest metro station (Green line; easy transfer to Blue line all the way to O'Hare International Airport within 60 min with the cost of only USD 3); also take less than 10 min to walk to McCormick Place (International Conference Center). Hotel reception and cleaning staffs are friendly and helpful. Air-conditioning (both cool and warm functions) is superb - having used both functions during my stay as the temperatures ranged from 7 to 25 degree Celsius during my stay. Shower is comfortable and bathtub drainage is good. Wifi is very stable all through the hotel. Queen size bed is comfortable too. Soft drinks selling at the vending machine are very cheap (only cost USD 1 for a bottle of coke or root beer). They do have a small gym for you to work out but I did not use it.
New mattresses, very clean accommodations and helpful, polite staff. It was a very pleasant place to stay and would definitely stay there again.
The room was very nice and the staff was very friendly.
The high ceiling gave the room a feeling of being big and open which we loved. The bed was great. The restaurant/bar downstairs was cool even though we didn't get a chance to visit it.
Location and comfort of room...friendliness and helpfulness of staff
I was switched to new room as the one I had smelled like cigarette smoke. They were very accommodating.
The spacious rooms and bathtubs and distance from convention center.
Excelent staff. Very welcoming and offered us good service when we asked questions of where to go. Was cheap and good for the price. Also a 10 minute walk from chinatown and 5-10 min walk from the subway!
Good location. Close to bus line directly to Navy Pier, Millinium Park, etc. On site parking was a huge bonus. Room was very nice and clean.

Location good, rooms spacious, internet free. Coffee always available complimentary.
This hotel is all about location, location, location - price, price, price. Let's be honest, you're not looking to stay here because you want to be at the hippest, newest place. Those places are a solid 100 more a night. You're here for location and price, and the staff and amenities fall in line and worked great for what we were looking for.
Wallace deserves a medal as he is a fantastic ambassador for your business ! The rest of the staff were extremely helpful and kind.
Location was great - very convenient to places I was going. My room was extremely comfortable and CLEAN! It smelled really nice when I walked in and that's always important to me. The staff checked to make sure I had everything I needed.
Rooms were very clean, location of the property was excellent. Staff was very friendly. Wallace was excellent!!! Extremely helpful with getting you on the right busses to go places. Wallace is definitely an asset to this hotel and company.
Comfy bed. Coffee/tea/hot cocoa 24/7. Luggage storage on our last day.
Great location on the Magnificant Mile. Close to shops and local attractions.
Location was great. Not super close to everything. But close enough to walk!
The bed was super comfortable. And the room was nicely decorated.
the bed was very comfortable! like it had a mattress pad on it. I would have love to be in that bed all day!

Loved the comfortableness of the entire room, plus the staff was VERY friendly to me the entire time of my stay. Also, it was great being able to walk to Wrigley Field from the hotel, even if I was rooting for the Yankees (LOL).
What I liked about my stay was the location was perfect, the room was comfortable, and the staff was excellent. Stayed here before and will continue in the future..
It's the cheapest hotel in Chicago. It's a very very old hotel. Needs renovation. But as long as you don't mind the old look of this place the place seems nice. The staffs are super cool. David helped me to get around the city. There was another lady who also helped me getting around. The plus points are Location, Staff, cleanliness. The negative point is room is not completely sound proof.
Our room had 2 beds and 2 baths, which was super. It's one of those hidden secret hotels - older, no brand, so you don't hope for much - but the location is fantastic, the room. , although older in style, was clean and spacious. Beds weren't old, they were super comfortable, and both night and day front desk staff were very helpful. It's a very good location and hotel for the money - excellent value. I'd stay here again in Chicago.
Close to everything cool in Chicago, not expensive, free breakfast, great staff. This hotel is not for someone who is extremely picky about everything. It is perfect for someone like me. I went to Wrigley field for a night game. Went to Kuma's Too 1 block away for Great craft beer and an awesome burger. Every type of restaurant and bar within walking distance. Short bus ride to FREE Conservatory and Lincoln Park Zoo and Lakefront park. Public transportation is on every main street plus the famous "EL".
Quaintness of hotel is very appealing and location is amazing. Fantastic shopping and dining all within walking. L station only a short walk up the street. Staff super friendly.
Very convenient location.Public transportation for 24 h. Staff is helpful.
The nastalzia of the hotel...beautiful yet friendly
Staff was helpful on all fronts. Locked my keys in the car upon arriving and front desk staff exceeded what could have possibly been expected of her to help me work it out. The accomodations had character and charm.
The location is perfect for visiting our adult children near by. Love the variety if restaurants in the area. Parking in the hotel lot is very convenient. (Though pricey st $30/day, similar price at nearby hotel ) we appreciate the value.

Lonely planet and a member of staff both warned me the rooms were small but I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the space
The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was centrally located to the Magnificent Mile, making everything that you could need near by. The hotel overall was clean, quiet, and incredible value for your money!
Staff was very accommodating and responsive. Room was large and the bed was wonderful.
The bed was very comfortable, the bell person professional, polite and accommodating.
Bed extremely comfortable. Heating works well. Bathroom dated and squeezy but functions well. Nice to have a fridge in the room, and a quiet one at that. Wifi excellent. Older style hotel but great location for buses and trains. We would stay here again.
The location is excellent along with staff. The small coffee shop next to the Inn was convenient and had great coffee along with light food.
The room was very comfortable and you can't beat the location for things to do. Will stay again!
All very nice. the price was appropriate and the location was great
Great staff - rooms are comfortable. For the rate and location - can't beat it! love the charm of an old hotel. Location was easy to get to via the train and walking distance to EVERYTHING! Doorman was exceptionally friendly and so was cleaning staff.
The room was small. The hallway needs a major make over.

the location, cleanliness, nearby restaurants, and cafes. very convenient for a single traveler, very quite and descent.
We had an extremely pleasant visit at this BW, our room was nice, the bathroom was amazing, full size shower and so much room. We had a lake view room and that was great overlooking the park across the street and all the buildings around. Staff was friendly and helpful, no issues at all. We would definitely come back here.
Perfect location! The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The hotel was recently renovated and the room smelled clean. The staff is very nice and helpful.
The staffs are very nice. The hotel location is good, not far from the train and grant park are opposite side. Reasonable price, big bathroom and good facilities.
Loved the proximity to the city of Chicago! Staff was very accommodating (we had to leave our bags while we sent sight-seeing). Would definitely recommend this hotel!
That it was in walking distance of the museum campus. I have always found staff friendly.
We had a park view room, was amazing. The best thing about the hotel was how close it was to Lake Michigan, Giodarno's, the Museum of Natural History and all the public transport. There was also amazing happy hour at the bar.
The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms and bathroom were very clean.
We loved staying at the Best Western in Chicago. We were right across the street from Grand Park and and only a few blocks from Shedd Aquarium and the museums. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. We love that they offer Valet parking given how hard it is to find parking in the city and how costly it is. There is so much to see and do and it is all easily accessible from the hotel. There is a hotel/apartments right next to the hotel and there is a "dog park" that you could see from our hotel window and my daughter just loved watching all of the dogs out playing and chasing each other around.
Overall nice place! Staff was friendly and knowledgable.

Likes: LOCATION! Super easy to get to and to get around. Wonderful firm beds. No noise at night even with being right on Michigan Ave.
Did not eat at the hotel. Liked the view (!) and the space. I'd like to commend the cleaning lady, who not only did a fine job of cleaning, but was thoughtful about coming back when her first stop was inconvenient for me. She was cheerful and we had a nice conversation (I speak Spanish, too). Everything was kept clean and neat and the soap I used was replaced! (She didn't take away the used soap!)
The gentlemen at the front door and valet are exceptional! I appreciate their level of communication and service most of all this weekends team (forgive me for not remembering names but I can and WILL remember the faces) and will be back primarily because of them. The view from 12 was very nice as well #pictureperfect Also, I truly enjoyed a great nights sleep the bed was extremely comfortable and the showers warm.
Good location, good ammentities in hotel. Comfortable
Great Location and clean comfortable Room. Reception was professional and friendly.
Very good location, very comfortable bed, nice staff, old but renovated hotel with a soul! Very close to nice restuarants, blues bars and city center. I asked for a room with a good view and they gave me a room with a nice city view!
We had an amazing bartender! He provided great recommendations for local restaurants and also history about the hotel. We really enjoyed chatting with him!
I loved the high ceilings in our room and the decor of the hotel!!
Clean and quiet room with a beautiful city view. Very convenient to travel around. The staff are nice. The hotel is a heritage building with artistic design.
It was a great older hotel with a lot of charm and the service was excellent

Loved the homemade breakfasts each morning as well as the recommendations for things to do in the area.
Very cozy Victorian decorated B&B, friendly owner, great location. Wish I knew about this place sooner! Better yet, hot breakfast is included!
Everything. Lovely people. Great breakfast. Fantastic place. I like the quirky homely vibe. Thanks for a fantastic stay.
The accommodations were exactly what we needed for a great price. Wonderful breakfast. Close to the Blue Line.
Scone at breakfast was fresh out of the oven & tasty! Location is in walking distance of grocery stores, pot bellys, starbucks, sushi/fusion, diner, etc There was also plenty of privacy, which I appreciated. Owner was kind, hospitable, & responded right away via email when I had a question about arrival procedure. Loved this bed & breakfast nestled in the city. Especially on a short business trip, it was calming & relaxing.
The room was large, the beds were soft, and there's a pillow menu. It was lovely.
Great location and wonderful building that was very expensive and welcoming inside. On-site parking was convenient. Great hospitality. Walking distance to wonderful Restaurants and bars and coffee. Extremely helpful staff. Bedding very comfortable ensuring a good night's sleep. Walk-able or a short taxi ride to many destinations. Have stayed here previously. Will stay again.
Comfy beds and nice wine reception in the evenings. Great staff!
Excellent staff, I would give them 5 stars!!!!! Wonderful rooms & amenities! Thank you Hotel Monaco! Great location too!
The staff was extremely helpful and very nice! The hotel had a complementary wine hour every night making the stay even more enjoyable. When asked for places to find breakfast, the staff offered great advice!
Room was clean and quiet! I've stayed at other properties nearby and this one you could actually sleep in! No noise through the walls and a very comfortable bed.
Super friendly staff. Great location and really nice rooms.
Our stay was great.. the staff was professional, friendly and accommodating. the South Water restaurant was excellent ..
The large window seat in the room over looking the river! Friendly staff. Great location.
Liked the view and the little sitting area by the window. Everything was decorated beautifully and it was romantic and very clean.

Excellent staff. Valet staff were so helpful and nice. Desk folks also helpful directed us to a wonderful restaurant nearby.
Roomy room. Desk person cheerfully helped me get wifi. Plentiful seating in breakfast area.
Breakfast was excellent staff were very friendly and helpful
I came to Chicago for a conference at the Palmer House. Preferred not to stay there but look for a different hotel nearby. Palmer House is an amazingly looking historic hotel, but it is also overpriced for the service that one gets. Hampton turned out as a great choice and an excellent value for money in the expensive downtown area of Chicago. A truly comfortable small hotel: lovely breakfast at no extra cost, great bed, quiet room, good internet everywhere in the hotel including the room, all very clean, some free goodies like tea, coffee, cookies, apples, excellent central location. I was really happy with my accomodation. Honestly, I felt much more comfortable than the previous year at the Palmer House, and I paid less. Last but not least: Hampton's friendly and helpful staff, especially Yvette!
Perfect downtown location if the private bank theater is where you are going. It is literally attach to the hotel. Very clean. Breakfast was good make sure you get down their early though. Suggest planning to bring it back to the room. Beds were a little stiff
Location, friendly staff, etc. Cochon Volant was our favorite restaurant and only a block away from hotel.
Friendly staff. Excellent location! You can walk to most places.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal! Many of the places we visited were in walking distance or quickly accessible by cab!
Attractive decor, clean, the GREATEST location, next door to Public Bank Theater, 1 block from State street, 3 blocks to Mellenium Park, 2 blocks to the Bean, 4 blocks to the lake.........super friendly and helpful staff, many restaurants in walking distance our favorite was Rivival Food Hall, a viarity of Chicago restaurants under one beautifully designed roof.

Staff was extremely friendly. Greeted us each time we walked through the lobby and always asked if we needed help with anything. The room was extremely clean and the kitchenette was a bonus. The location was very convenient and we walked to all of our tourist attractions and restaurants. The parking rate was comparable to other locations and was onsite.
The staff was great and the breakfast was wonderful
Th staff was so nice and welcoming. The bed was amazingly comfortable! Great vibe! Within a few block of the L station which makes access to the city super easy.
This was a very beautiful. ..well kept comfortable hotel with the most friendly accommodating staff..the bell hop I belive his name to be manny..he came and got my groceries curb side and by the time I got my room key he had been up and put everything away for me! The front desk staff were very helpful and polite and explained each and every detail of the bill..everything about this place is breath taking! And the view(had the king suite with city view)! Simply amazing! !!!! Stayed here for my first anniversary and it couldn't be more perfect! Even the housekeeping were on their job!!! My husband and myself went down for breakfast came back and she was in the middle of cleaning our room making our bed and changing our towels she was sooo polite and fast we really loved our stay and didnt want to leave! Great value for the room, location, staff, lobby. Close to some excellent restaurants, public transportation, etc.
Spacious room, great location, very friendly staff, very good breakfast (eggs, cereal, fruit, bacon, sausage, biscuits, bagels, toast, oatmeal, waffles). Overall a great value for downtown Chicago!
During my stay,my family and I felt welcomed by all the staff. This was from checking in to finding somewhere to eat/ shop at. The breakfast was beyond my expectations and was free. If we asked from something we needed like an extra pillow, it was brought up within a few minutes. The view from the pool and jacuzzi was amazing. My husband forgot his headset and there were complimentary ones in the gym area. The room was clean and cozy. I will recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great experience and price in the city.
Room was clean, beds were comfy, views were great and staff was excellent!

This is a nice hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the hotel is at a great location. We were steps away from the magnificent mile. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants. There is a Starbucks attached the hotel, which was a plus for me. The lobby area was really nice and they had a lounge/bar area where you could eat, have drinks, and socialize. Overall, our stay was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a nice stay at a place that off the mile for a decent price.
Quiet A/C, heat. Nice room for 3, nice mattress, quick elevator, nice bar area
The location was great. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and do while in Chicago for our girls weekend. Visited all the shops and fun places like Sugar Factory and Stan's:)
Room was clean and quiet. Beds and linens quite comfortable. An issue with the heating/air conditioning was addressed quickly and effectively. Check-in staff was prompt and helpful. Bar area was pleasant and relaxing. Staff there was excellent as well. Well within walking distance of Navy Pier and the Mag Mile. Easy bus line transportation.
Perfect location and great food places with in walking distance. I enjoy walking. Everything was within a mile of the hotel. Navy Pier, Millenium Park, Water Tower. Garretts Popcorn is right next door!! We walked to the hotel from the train station. And took Uber to the train station for our trip home. Less then $15 dollars. I would absolutely stay at this location again
The staff was so friendly and very helpful! Location was excellent! We slept so well, the beds were comfortable, really enjoyed the variety of pillows!
Excellent hotel and location. Would recommend, would stay again.
Loved this hotel's newly renovated rooms. I think it is in the perfect location to everywhere I like to go when I'm in Chicago.
Better than expected, concierge Artello (?spelling) most helpful. Beautiful hotel and rooms. Clean, convenient location. We will definitely be staying here next time we are in Chicago.
The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfy. My husband and I traveled with another couple that got their own room and the staff members put us on the same floor and the rooms were right next to each other so that helped out a lot! Also, the view from our room was amazing! 23rd floor with a sky/city light view!

Staff was great, especially TJ. Felt at home there.
The bedroom and especially the bathroom were a great size and the beds were very comfortable. Staff were terrific and the location was second to none. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.
The room was great, spacious, great view, great decor and facilities with the nice touch of an ipad and coffee machine. We ate breakfast nearly every day which had good variety and we especially loved the crispy potatoes. Lunch and evening meal choices were also good and the waiting and bar staff extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.
I love the value of the hotel for the customer service, aesthetic, and the view. I love how helpful the concierge was, the front desk, and how the whole staff treats you (such as opening the door, etc.). My wife and I went after our wedding, and they treated us to a bottle from our minibar! We used their spa services and their gym, sauna, and locker room were superb! Thank you!
We loved our room! This hotel offers every amenity we could think of. The rooms were very quiet and we had our own private balcony which was excellent! The whole hotel was really cool, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. We love the location because it's off the beaten path (a little bit) but close enough to walk anywhere. We enjoyed having cocktails in the lounge as well as a wonderful manicure.
The comfort, decoration, bed is very comfortable, clean and quiet
We went with out a real plan of what to do and the concierge made some awesome suggestions that ended up being the best parts of the trip
View was amazing, close to everything, staff was pleasant and helpful. Great selection of wine in room and was affordable - same with the selection of snacks and treats. Spa was truly wonderful. In room sound system was awesome (too awesome - had a knock from hotel staff at 2am cause we were rockin it too much)
I loved the baggage handle TJ his smile is memorable. I loved the customer service from Darcel. He went above & beyond to make my stay perfect as well as accommodating. My fiance enjoyed the complimentary wine of choice for his birthday staycation.

We liked it all & enjoyed our stay there. Everyone is so friendly, comfortable bedding set, linens & everyone was so hospitable.
The free breakfast was just a grab and go, cold pastry sort of thing (I think the regular breakfast area is under renovation) but overall we had a great stay.
I loved our stay! We had a great view of the lake and the room was very homey. The beds were also comfortable and the location was great. It's about a 5 minute walk to michigan avenue and 25 min walk to the bean.

It was a great stay! We were pleasant surprise. In addition there are restaurants around the area within walking distance.
Hotel is in a building like those in the neighborhood - older, sturdy, wood floors, big window, high ceiling. Close to the lake, lots of places to eat and shop nearby. Staff was quite pleasant and helpful.
Staff was wonderful. Room was so clean and comfortable.

Just a comfortable place in a great central location.
The view was beautiful. I love the facility. The room is beautiful. I didn't want to leave. Hopefully, I will be back soon to visit. Thank you for an awesome time I really enjoy the room and visiting the beautiful city of Chicago.
Very nice location. People are very friendly and helpful.
The staff were very helpful and courteous. Wish I had planned to stay longer than 1 night. Located about 15-20 minutes walking to Willis Tower? Full kitchen, nice livig room, just like the pictures. Can verify with Google, walking. Walking was better than reparking between 2 locations.
This was a fantastic place to stay. Would chose this every time if the price was reasonable! However, it was worth it! The view and the comfort of this place far outweighs any hotel. Gave my a home feeling!
The views from condo was really nice even being from Chicago and living here I enjoyed the views
The hotel was located across the street from the site of the week-long business meeting I attended; this was the primary purpose of my trip and made the fact that all of the more touristy locations were over a mile away on foot a secondary concern.
Great view of the city. Nice Kitchen with necessary implements and utensils. Built in USB charging ports in the electrical outlet panels. Walking distance to Greek Town.
Small but comfortable apartment. Fully outfitted kitchen. Great view! Exceptional closet space.

Staff was kind and happy. I love quirky old hotels... the smallest details were amazing!
Everything was amazing. A quaint and sweet little place that was very homey with a lot of personality. Kind of a 20's, Agatha Christie murder mystery feel. Amazing staff. They were all so talkative and helpful, and quite funny at times.
Friendly, helpful staff. Inviting atmosphere with comfortable library for reading, enjoying breakfast or just sitting by the fire relaxing with a cup of coffee. Beds very comfortable and rooms clean. Have stayed here multiple times and always enjoyed it.
The staff is really nice. There's a lot to eat near by. It's near lots of public transportation.
We loved the location. Away from downtown, but close to Lakeshore Dr. Close proximity to parking and a quiet neighborhood. The prices for the mini-bar and in-room snacks were very fair. I ordered a bottle of champagne from the hotel. They chilled it and took it to our room. The lounge was remarkable. Very cozy by the fireplace.
Upon arrival we were treated like family. Mona, Rick and all the staff were very helpful! Super close to our evening activity - within walking distance. Quiet, clean, cozy room. Will definitely return!
Every thing was comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxing also service was enjoyable
Close to ball field. Came into town for cardinals a cubs game.
Room with couch/TV plus room with beds means snorer can sleep on the couch! The only place I will stay when I travel to see my Cubbies. So close to everything.

The view is absolutely breathtaking of the Chicago River and the lake. One of the best I've ever seen. The unit was almost too large for just two people. The apartment is wonderful AND the location is perfect to Michigan Ave and the Loop.
Great apartment, in excellent location for seeing the main sights in Chicago. Also felt secure and the bookers and reception could not have been more helpful in accomodating a change to our booking.

The employees at the front desk could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We had to have two packages shipped to the hotel. They kept both packages in a secure area until I was able to collect them. I also received a call to my room letting me know they had arrived. One of the days we were there, we forgot to remove the "do not disturb" sign from our door so Housekeeping didn't get a chance to clean the room. We received a courtesy call from them later in the day explaining why they weren't able to come in and, if we needed anything before the next day (towels, a mess cleaned up), to call them right away. We only had dinner in the restaurant located inside the hotel once, but we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone!!! Thank you all so much for an excellent stay!
Finding out how close the magnificent mile and milllenium park was
The doormen, receptionists, check-in/check-out, pool, fitness center, room service, comfort of room, cleanliness of room, and location were all excellent!
Staff was very friendly and hotel was very clean will definitely be back!!!!!
The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very nice and the location was awesome
The view was excellent. The king bed was far more comfortable than my own. The location was everything I hoped.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean. And it is centrally located to State St, Michigan Ave and the Red Line/CTA Buses.
The staff were so helpful giving us local maps including best places to eat around the restaurant.
We really enjoyed the hotel restaurant. We had intended to eat at other restaurants but thought what is better than the hotel restaurant. Food was great and service was even better. Also, we were able to get into our room earlier than scheduled. The check-in people were super helpful with check-in, directions and helpful hints. Great time and would use this hotel again.

Very helpful concierge & front desk staff, handy taxis & subway, attractive & clean rooms, & excellent bonuses to help guests--bikes, umbrellas, local car service. Right in the middle of Magnificent Mile.
6 of us were goi g to 2 ball games, Sox and then Cubs. The red line was convenient for us. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend The James!
Every single person who worked there treated us right. I highly recommend this hotel.
Staff was very nice. Any problems we had they were addressed right away. Clean hotel and comfy as well.
The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The hotel has an overall cozy atmosphere. The location is convenient for shopping and restaurants. A great value!
Great staff! Friendly check in.... Valet was very friendly and accommodating. My bags were brought up to my room quickly. Room was clean and modern. Very comfortable bed and sheets. Will definitely be back!
The room was great - roomy, comfortable European style bed (mattress on a platform - which is my favorite), good pillows, fluffy comforter, windows that open to get fresh air (very rare in Chicago), magnifying mirror in bathroom, room safe, refrigerator, free bottle of water in room, plenty of hangers. But the best part was the staff. They are genuinely friendly and anticipate your needs. As we were leaving to go shopping, they offered us huge umbrellas to take along since it was starting to rain. Another time we were returning to the hotel and my friend accidentally walked past the entrance. The doorman flagged him and asked if he wanted to come in since he recognized him as a guest. They also have 3 bicycles available that are free for guests to use along with several computers in the lobby. And there is a fabulous steak restaurant on the first floor.
Perfect location to walk everywhere. Fantastic staff and beautiful, clean rooms.
Great location, friendly, helpful staff and very clean. This is our second stay. Will go back next year!
Good wifi connection, great staff, complimentary coffee and fruits, business center and close to Michigan Street. Parking very close in Ohio street ( 25$ a day using pandaparking.com)

Location is right at the heart of everything. JW Marriott also lives up to its class reputation!😄♥️
helpfull staff great location very comfortable - clean room also room size is excellent in dining room fast quite hotel strong recommended
We were most impressed by the wait help at the Florentine restaurant. We expected decent service, but not over the top since it was the night of Christmas eve, us being one of two parties in there, and looking like penny pinchers :) But I have to say that our experience was exceptional! In fact, it was our 9yo son's first fine dining experience. The waiter poured our son's root beer into a glass cup as if it were wine. Our son wasn't sure how to react lol. We felt important. Our waiter was patient, thorough, and attentive. Very impressive.
The hotel was very clean and nice I love the setting and enjoyed Chicago
Went to Chicaho for a rugby game and got the Cubs parade too. Loved everything about the JW Marriott - perfect location, fabulous big room and bathroom, great bar and the Florntin restaurant was amazing. Would definitely stay there again.
The staff were amazing at this hotel. After I ran the Chicago marathon and returned to the hotel, one of the staff gave me a complimentary goody bag filled with lots of useful things for a tired runner.
Fabulous staff and beautiful, clean rooms. Excellent location. Everything was perfect!
No waits at elevators. Excellent staff Great bar Comfortable And elegant room
The staff, they made all the difference. Helpful and good communication skills. Any question I asked they understood what I needed to know, so helpful. Loved how the newer decore fit with the deco bones of the hotels marble, iron banister, lighting fixtures. The pool area, the lobby, the elevator, the room, professional cleaning job, everywhere! I am a picky grandmother. Sharing a space used by many needs to be spit spot. I was prepared to point out anything that wasn't right to the grandchildren as a learning lesson. Happily I could find nothing. We just enjoyed ourselves.

Beautiful room with wonderful bathroom and luxurious bed. Superb view from room. Excellent service.
The staff was so nice. It was our 30th anniversary and everyone celebrated with us! Location was perfect...
Best part about staying at a Ritz Carlton is the professionalism of the entire staff. There may be equally as nice looking hotels out there, but you'll have a hard time surpassing the service.
Food was very good I wouldn't say the bed was like a feather
Reception was outstanding. Brenden checked us in and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. It was my birthday celebration and the staff made it beyond special with many extras.
Frank from the front desk was wonderful. Very respectful, helpful, fun along with much more. He did an outstanding job. So much so we were talking about coming back and staying in the hotel again to see Frank! He was so personable and really made us feel at home! Thanks Frank! -Mr/Mrs. Brenner
We had a wonderful visit at the Ritz Carlton. We had a problem with our room the first night and were immediately upgraded to a suite to accommodate us. The sofa sleeper that was in the room ended up not being a sofa sleeper and we needed to sleep 4 people.
The bed was like a cloud, but the staff was the best ever.
The staff-everyone of them was there to help you and make you feel comfortable. Kudos to the concierge staff-Lauren and John who made our wishes come true!
Just amazing, fantastic staff, great location could not fault it.

We had a bachelorette with a few girls, and the staff was more than accommodating. They said they'd bring up anything we needed and helped bring our decorations and gifts up to our room. The space was big enough for all of us and it was very comfortable.
The staff was very friendly the location was extremely clean and the room was awesome! The location was conviently located near everything so shopping and restaurant was very acesssible.

Location was great. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. View was amazing.
The cookies and the hot chocolate in the lobby were a nice touch!!
They have one of the best staffs I ever been around. I would only stay there when I'm in Chicago.
Room was spacious, location was great, staff was friendly. The bathroom was good and clean. Bed was comfortable! I also really liked the concept of additional starwood points for not requesting a full maid service. All I ever really need is fresh towels and a turned down bed, so this is a good idea that I will take advantage of in the future.
I was impressed with the overall courtesy of the staf. They were always readily available with a smile to assist in any of our needs or questions. Great service
We had a great time and this hotel is right in the middle of everything!

The room was large and quiet. There were two comfortable chairs plus an ottoman.
Loved the location! We were a block and a half from our theatre. I didn't like the fact that you were expected to pay extra for wi-fi and there was no coffee in the room. Other that that it was a beautiful hotel in a great location!
The bed was like falling asleep on a cloud. The staff was warm and wonderful.
Location, in walking distance to every place we wanted to go.
Loved the atmosphere, the lounges, coffee places, Corner Bakery. Everything at your fingertips. We did not get breakfast offered with our room rate.

The location' the view around' very very clean' comfortable bed and Club access and breakfast'
Convenient location, excellent clean and comfortable rooms with a great view. Friendly staff and easily accessible via car.
Amazing staff, very helpful no matter what you need help with. The beds are amazing, like sleeping on a cloud. They even brought us a free roll out bed for our son. And I requested a top floor and got the 23rd floor which was amazing! So cool to show my son what Lake Michigan looks like 23 floors up! And being on the side where we could see the lake was amazing too. Even the windows are clean so you can see and take pictures thru it. Small room but that's ok, still far more than worth the money.
I loved the bed... mattress was superb, and the bed sheets and snuggly comforter were divine! The staff were very helpful and immediately supplied extra towels when they were requested. I hope to return soon!!
The concierge and reception staff are amazingly helpful and friendly
Concierge was amazing! I got a call from family early morning that my brother was deathly ill. The earliest I could leave by train was 8:45. Concierge called the bus station and arranged for me to ride the bus instead so I could leave much earlier. They made all arrangements! Even called as a follow up while we were at the bus station. It was great to have such caring people in our time of need.
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, welcoming and always very thoughtful and helpful. The hotel was within walking distance to Navy Pier.
Location, close to everything. Ambiance. Staff was very helpful, especially at the Concierge desk. Loved the river views. Steak at Shula's was delicious.Nothing
Comfortable beds, loved the concierge floor, nice gym and pool area. A great concierge helping us with dinner ideas. Don't remember her name, but she did wild things with her hair-Marissa? It was a terrific time
Great part of town by the Magnificent Mile and view of the water!
