Guadalajara

Guadalajara is the capital city of Jalisco state, and the second largest city in the country.

It is known for the historic architecture in its central district, both colonial and post-independence, mixed in with a modern cosmopolitan city that is smaller and more relaxed than Mexico City.

Among its historical landmark buildings, the Hospicio Cabañas is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its architecture and early role in providing care and shelter for the disadvantaged.

Guadalajara can be enjoyed best when it is not rush hour or the hot season.
