Shakrisabz is a city and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Southeastern Uzbekistan.

It is best known is the hometown of Temur, and seemingly everything in Shakrisyabz is connected with his name. The Historic Center of Shakrisyabz, located on the Silk Roads, is over 2000 years old and was the cultural and political center of the region in the 14th and 15th century.

This history can still be seen through diverse monuments, mosques, mausoleums, and other features. In addition to these monuments, the town also offers a variety of interesting constructions of a more modern period, with rooms typically laid out around a courtyard with veranda.
